Since a young age I have been fascinated by anything that makes a noise. I was forever collecting speakers, taking hifi’s and radios apart (much to the annoyance of my parents), and generally making as much noise as I could. When I discovered an old record player in the attic of an elderly relatives house, my interests became focused on playing records. This led me into a long term hobby, DJing, which I still casually pursue today along side teaching the skill to young people in local schools (See the Bournemouth DJ Academy submenu).
After finishing school I went to college to study engineering, sound engineering and music technology. Learning technical skills associated with production, live sound and product design really opened my imagination up to what could be possible with all the different new technologies and the ever developing music and audio industry. After four years working as a specialist music technology cover supervisor in a local music academy, I decided it was time to dedicate myself to pursuing a career in the world of audio. I am currently in my final year reading for a Bachelor of Science in Music and Audio Technology at Bournemouth University UK.
In my spare time I enjoy going to music events and festivals. I am well-travelled and am a keen amateur surfer (a rubbish one) but I enjoy staying active! I like to explore my creative side through personal production projects in my home studio as well as tinkering with technologies to create new ideas. Of course, long walks on the beach and reading are standard (for everyone right?).
